This was a illustration done for the band Along The Lines Of for merch wise like stickers, shirts, hats, and ect. The space shuttle was drawn on another sketch but i made it to this idea instead. I thought about mission patches or military mission patches with all of the shapes i used as well. The space shuttle idea was inspiration from the Space Shuttle Discovery or known by OV-103 for over 27 years of service it launched and landed 39 times, gathering more space flights than any other spacecraft to date. Also the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) since i reside close to the location here in Clear Lake,TX.
Here is the first case study i did for the frame of the illustration i did, i liked more of the bottom shape that represents a good base for it.
This is the second case study/sktech i did for the space shuttle. i used refrences from Space Shuttle Discovery since it resembles to my sketch, this was also skectched on another case study i did called the Hubble Telescope Patch Illustration.
Here is the original illustration with colors and all including the space shuttle. I'm really proud how the whole illustration came out with the planets sitting nicely in the frame too.
Here is the outline of the shapes. Every shape is hand made im actually really glad the lines for the earth came out as good.
